Summer Sessions '16 Mexico City. Speculative Identity for Plaza Santa Domingo. What does it mean to design an identity? How can something complex as a visual identity of a place, full of traditions and costums, be honest? Santo Domingo is a town square with is notable for the presence of old-school letterpress printers and letter writers who in turn help provide a sense of the identity of Santo Domingo. The purpose was to let the square "talk about itself" throug creating a series of ephemera that represent various narratives, based both on real and fictituous places, events and characters.
